Ik vind dit geen “prettige foto” – zo’n duizendknaller klinkt in zo’n smal straatje als een Kalasnikov en daar lopen tegenwoordig al genoeg nare types mee rond.
Maar de foto laat ook zien dat het maar om ÊÊn “Nieuwjaarsfeestje” ging en niet van de hele buurt.
Dus misschien was het toch minder erg dan haar getergde gelaat suggereert đ
Om ÊÊn? Nee hoor!!! Een hele (redelijk lange) straat met vooral Chinese winkels en eethuisjes en wat nog plus nog ‘n deel op ‘n pleintje… Geen ontsnappen aan als je in de buurt moet zijn of woont… đ
How we love to gawp and stare, yet some of us have a keen sense of self preservation. An exploding gas cylinder would have caused utter devastation? Making tracks is a wise decision.
That too of course – but normally when we watch fireworks of any kind, it is too far away for the noise to be really disturbing, just a part of the excitement and fun… When they fire those things right next to you, you’d better have ear dops in… I think that was her problem… and mine too – it happened regularly that I had to let go of the camera to protect my ears đ
There – and I thought the shop was on fire! Two things we really miss in photographs – sound and smell!
Hihi! No, it’s just a part of Chinese New Year celebration… đ And sound and smell were very much present… You are right – that part is left to everybody’s own fantasy… đ
