Tja, hoe deden ze dat toch vroeger op volle zee?
Goed insmeren met groene zeep en dan een paar keer kielhalen en dan droog laten wapperen en dan proberen weer aan te trekken – dat zijn zo wat vragen die bij mij opkomen ondanks alle oogstrelende romantiek van jouw foto’s 🙂
Ondanks alle positieve berichten over het Schelde-water zou ik dat toch niet direct aanraden, denk ik… Ik neem aan dat ze daar ergens een wasserij ter beschikking hebben gekregen 😉
Trouwens, ik zie niet direct in wat er zo romantisch is aan moeten gaan wassen en met zakken sleuren, eerlijk gezegd… 🙂
When I first saw the first shot I thought it was an old photograph. Looks very nostalgic and has a certain romance to it 🙂
It is a very recent photo but it certainly is an old ship 🙂 So it does have a nostalgic and romantic aura… It is one of the ‘Tall Ships’ that docked in Antwerp before starting the traditional ‘Tall Ships Race’. There are some more recent models too but mostly they are old sailing ships… You’ll see some more of them by and by here. I don’t want to give my visitors a ship-indigestion – so they’ll get it spoon by spoon with chewing time inbetween 😉
